I personally have been inspired by so many who are daily making sacrifices at home and in the workplace. Many of our families are working on what is considered the frontline of this virus as well as the incredible amount that are essential workers. The parents who are assisting our staff in making sure their child’s education continues are a blessing to our school. The staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that the lessons they give are challenging and with a rigor that will make sure students are at the level they need to be in order to complete the grade level they are currently in.
For the final marking period we will be following a Pass/Fail-Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory guideline. This will obviously vary by grade level. At this time, we know that we are out of our building until May 15. We are planning for different scenarios. Our Prayer is that we will be able to return to school this year. However, please note the following: Craft Fair and Basket Raffle postponed until September. Chiavetta's Chicken BBQ postponed until October. Drama Performance Canceled. PK Program Canceled. End of the Year Picnic and Program Canceled. Kindergarten and 8th Grade Graduations as well as our Annual Sports' Banquet are put on hold (with the hope that we can have something even if it is during the summer.) I will let you know once a decision is made about our annual Field Day.
We are looking to have another virtual theme week of events next week: April 27-May1. A list of events will be posted on our Facebook and Website pages, Sunday, April 26th. I hope you choose to join me in some fun!
I am praying for each of you daily! Please stay safe and healthy while following the guidelines we are given.
