St. Peter’s Shares Hope With Others
Everyone who has a connection to St. Peter’s is invited to join me this week:
Current and Former- Students, Staff, Parents, Grandparents, Friends, etc.
I can’t wait to see all the wonderful messages of HOPE that, together,
we can share with others this week! May God bless all of you as you bless others!
Monday: We have hearts full of HOPE!
Make or color hearts and put in your window. Include a message of thanks for all essential workers to see! You can take a picture of your child with the hearts and upload it to www.heartsforwnyheroes.org
Blue seems to be the main color for these heroes but any heart color is appreciated! Let’s make sure each of our neighborhoods has a message of thanks for all those who essential workers who are keeping our community strong!
Tuesday: Military heroes give us HOPE!
As a way to give back to the incredible men and women who risk their lives daily to give our country hope, we are going to make cards, write letters, or draw pictures for these heroes. One of St. Peter’s former students, SGT John Cooper (John Andrew to all of us who know and love him) is currently deployed overseas. There are many service men and women who do not receive letters. John Andrew will help us hand out these messages of hope to those who give all of us HOPE! Items are to be placed in a designated box at school. The box is in the old entrance (Gym side area where teachers have been leaving work materials). Please place items in there by May 4th. Let’s make this box overflow!
Wednesday: We have HOPE for our environment!
I am praying the weather is nice so we can each get outside to do some yard work: pickup sticks, weed gardens, trim bushes, or help clean somewhere in your neighborhood. The ideas are endless. Let’s take time to show how much we love the area we live in.
Thursday: Our homes are filled with HOPE!
Students it is time to give back to mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, etc. Whoever is your main caregiver right now deserves some extra love from you that will strengthen their hope! Take time to do an extra chore around the house. Choose something that will make life easier for the adults who are working extra hard right now! I can’t wait to hear about the wonderful ways you have been helpful! Let’s pour love onto those who love us most!
Friday: Shining HOPE on others!
Today is May Day! Growing up in Iowa, I remember sharing May Day treats with neighbors. Here is a chance for you to make something special to drop on someone’s doorstep. It can be a picture, a craft, a treat, whatever you want. The idea is to do it secretly. Once you place the item there, you can ring the doorbell and go, or if you feel you want to let them know there is something outside for them, you can do that as well. You can also, mail, email or text pictures or messages to someone special! Let’s each have fun brightening someone’s day!
Remember, take the time to leave a message of how you met each daily challenge. I LOVE hearing from you! If you are unable to leave a message on our Facebook page, you can text, email, or message me. I look forward to being busy this week keeping up with all that is being done as we share hope with our community! Take care and stay safe and healthy! Mrs. Scibetta :-)
