To all who ordered Easter Candy,
Thank you so much for participating in this fundraiser.
The Easter Candy you ordered will be available for pickup at St. Peter’s Lutheran School on Wednesday, April 1st. from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. This will be a drive thru only distribution. We are asking each person to contact Mrs. Scibetta, by text or call, when they pull into the parking lot. You may pull in like you do for our BBQ,s except stop by the MAIN entrance. Mrs. Scibetta or a helper will bring your candy to your vehicle and place it in your trunk or leave on the walkway for you to put inside your vehicle; whichever way you choose. Please let her know if someone else will be coming to get your order. We understand you may experience difficulties in getting these orders to the people on your list, so we want to remind everyone to please stay safe and practice social distancing. If you have any questions or concerns with your order, please contact Mrs. Hasley as soon as possible. (Phone numbers were sent in an email.)
We are praying daily for each of our school families.
We are Motivated: eager to act or work at your best.
“Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”
Our Character Ed word for the month of March is: Motivated. We have each been asked to adjust things in our lives to fit our current situation. We are all being challenged to stay motivated right now as our schedules have changed. Our daily routines are different because of our current situation.
I thought it might be fun if we have a Virtual Spirit Week. It’s a way we can stay connected even though we can’t be together at this time. Our them for the coming week: March 23-27 is
Our St. Peter’s Family is Motivated!
By 8:00 am each day I will post that day’s theme on our Facebook Page. (I’ve included the list below for those who aren’t on Facebook, but still want to participate.) Guardians are asked to encourage and monitor that day’s activity. If you would like and are comfortable with it you can post a picture in the comment section of that day’s theme announcement. I plan on posting my own picture each day. (If you don’t have Facebook, you can still take a picture and if you would like and are comfortable with it, you can email the picture to your child’s teacher or to me. firstname.lastname@example.org)
The activities are not meant to be academic, however, like any activity there will be learning involved; whether it’s trying something new or working on getting along with others. If an activity works better another day, feel free to switch them around; especially the play outside day or if a family member wants to bake one day that is different than what is listed.) I hope that you have fun and I look forward to seeing many pictures. I miss all of our beautiful children!!
Our St. Peter’s Family is Motivated
Day 1: Monday, March 23rd Pet Day- Spend time with your pets by playing with them, taking a walk or hugging them. Sadly, I don’t currently have a pet, so I will be hugging my favorite stuffed animal.
Day 2: Tuesday, March 24th Creativity Day- There’s a lot to be done on this day! You can make a craft, draw a picture (we have some incredible artists) paint something or color from your favorite coloring book. What will make it even better is if you do this alongside a family member. I’m not the most creative person, but I do like to paint.
Day 3: Wednesday, March 25th Kitchen Day- Time to get your hands dirty. Along with your guardian how about trying a new recipe… baking or cooking! I love to bake so I can’t wait for this day!
Day 4: Thursday, March 26th Outside Day- Spend time doing one of your favorite outside activities. I am praying the weather is nice for us on this day. I LOVE to be outside doing many activities.
Day 5: Friday, March 27th Game Day- When my kids were young Friday night was often game night. What a perfect opportunity for you to play a game or do a puzzle as a family. I’m looking forward to putting a puzzle together!
I hope you join me in these activities. Have a fun week and stay safe and healthy.
Sending my love to you all!

Good morning. Please know that I am praying for each of you. Class work is available to your child as directed by the teacher. You should have been contacted by now. This is not meant to cause you additional stress in order to get it done! We just want you to have the opportunity to help continue your child’s academics and (somewhat) routine during this difficult time. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s teacher. My email is: email@example.com or you can text me if you have my number. Remember we love each of you and encourage you to follow all the recommendations by the health department, Governor and those in local authority. The Governor has given an executive order for all schools in New York to be closed until April 1st. There is a possibility that will be extended. I will let you know as information is announced. Please practice social distancing and limit your need to travel outside your home. Use this time to grow as a family unit. Together we can get through this. You are loved!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Remember, this is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
All Niagara County Schools will be closed until further notice as recommended by the Niagara County Health Department as a precautionary measure to keep everyone safe from the COVID-19 Virus. At this time there are no confirmed cases in Niagara County. However there are confirmed cases in other WNY counties. St. Peter's will be closed beginning, Monday, March 16th. Attendance will be reassessed later this week. Staff will be meeting tomorrow to discuss academic plans, which we had already begun. Parents will be notified as soon as possible of any work students may need to complete during this time. We ask each of you to respect the recommendations and keep your families safe from illness by monitoring the health of everyone in your home and practice good hygiene. We love all of our St. Peter's Family members and together we will overcome this unprecedented time. May you feel God's blessings at this time. Please share this message with anyone you know who may not see it on this website.
To Parents and Guardians concerning COVID-19:
We understand everyone's concern regarding the COVID-19 Virus and the recommendations to practice social distancing. Our hope is to keep our school open as usual. The governor is leaving it up to each school district to make that decision. As with our policy, if the Niagara Wheatfield School District closes, we will as well. Parents will be notified as soon as possible. We know for many this will not be an easy task to find daily childcare. We suggest you start now preparing for this just in case. We are sensitive to this issue, that is why districts are not acting quickly to close.
Our staff has begun working on assignments that can be given to students should the need arise for them to remain at home for an extended amount of time. Each teacher has been asked to create a form of communication with their families. Many have already been using this tool whether it be the Remind App, emails, or texting.
Things that have been done so far:
-Cancelled the Kindergarten and 1st Grade Field Trip to Aquarium that was scheduled for March 18th.
-Cancelled the 4th Annual Craft Fair and Basket Auction that was scheduled for March 21st.
-Alerted the 7th & 8th Grade parents that a decision about the May NYC trip will be made soon.
What else can we do? Please pray...
We are entering a time where history is being made that is very unsettling. We are experiencing a surreal situation that is unlike anything we've ever been through. Listening the news reports along with the rumors that abound, fear and anxiety can grab hold quickly. We can't deny or ignore the evil in our world that causes these emotions that we know we shouldn't have. Satan wants us to live our lives in fear. Even those strong in faith can experience temptation to fear and worry.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
We will keep you posted...
