About Us
OUR MISSION
St. Peter’s Lutheran School, part of the ministry of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, provides nurture, outreach and quality Christian education in partnership with the family. We proclaim the Gospel to all, nurturing growth and relationships with Jesus Christ.
In the Christian classroom, children develop, understand and appreciate their talents as gifts from God. They recognize themselves as worth-full and assured of eternal life through God’s grace.
The child is encouraged to witness Jesus Christ to the community through worship, fellowship and Christian service by responsible Christian living.

"St. Peter’s provided me with a solid education that prepared me well for both high school and college. The value of the Christianity that was taught is a lifetime gift and I look back with great pleasure at my time spent at St. Peter’s."

Statement of Faith
Building for the Future was the theme that inspired construction of a new Christian Day School Facility at St. Peter’s. Our new building opened in 2001.
Building on the foundation laid by Lutherans immigrating to America several generations past, we made a commitment to add our chapter to the story we hope to have told by many generations to come.
As Christians, we have a part to play in history, but even more important than that is the fact that we have a role in His-story. Building for the Future means working with Jesus to bring the Kingdom of God to life in our world.
As Christians, we believe that the greatest blessing we receive is the opportunity to tell others about Jesus, to share His story, to share His love, and to share in His compassion for all people.
As Christians, we believe that our purpose in the present is to be Building for the Future when Jesus comes to reveal Himself as Lord of heaven and earth.
May the words on our lips, and the thoughts of our hearts, and the work of our hands give glory to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

"A Christian Education is very important… you use this every day of your life. Being a good example with Christian values and morals is something you take with you forever. I thank God for my parents. They knew the importance of a Christian Education and therefore, I was able to attend St. Peter’s Lutheran School."
- Shirley J. Walck (former student and parent of former students)
Who We Are |
St Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), is rooted in East Germany where an entire village chose to immigrate to America rather than give up their religious heritage. True to the Scriptures and the Lutheran tradition, these pioneers have kept their convictions alive by maintaining a Christian Day School since 1844, which provides quality education for children from all of the surrounding communities.

Our History |
The history of Christian education began many years ago in this country. The very first schools were church schools that not only taught "reading, writing and arithmetic", but also the Word of God. St. Peter's has provided a Christian school and teachers to make Christian education available for its members and the community since 1844. We do not try to replace the public school system, but offer parents an alternative form of education - not only a strong fundamental education, but also a strong religious background based on the Bible, working together and with the help of God.
